The Hungarian Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe in cooperation with Ildikó Józan, head of the Hungarian Department at the University of Strasbourg organised a series of events titled Soriées Kodály honouring the great Hungarian composer, who passed away 50 years ago. As the second event commemorating Kodály, the prestigious La quatour Florestan string quartet performed pieces from the composer with the collaboration of soprano Ildikó Lorentz. The concert took place in the Salle du Munsterhof, a historic building in the centre of Strasbourg, which once hosted the concerts of Mozart and Liszt.
