The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland and Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen led tributes to the memory of Holocaust victims, at a ceremony outside the main Council of Europe building in Strasbourg to mark the International Day of Holocaust Commemoration.

On this occasion the Permanent Representation of Hungary joined commemorations by screening the film Fever at Dawn. The film was created by the acclaimed director Péter Gárdos based on a novel he wrote about the true-life love story of his parents, both of whom were survivors of the Holocaust.
