The Hungarian Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe held its national day reception on the occassion of the 171st anniversary of the Hungarian revolution and freedom fight of 1848. László Trócsányi, Minister of Justice of Hungary gave an opening speech at the reception recalling his experiences with the Council of Europe, especially the 8 years he spent working with the Venice Commission. 

The reception also marked the opening of the exhibition "Sweet Ambassadors", showcasing the most famous Hungarian pastries from the nineteenth century to today. 

At the opening of the reception the Minister of Justice has also decorated the chef of the Hungarian Permament Representation László Boris with the Bronze Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit awarded to him by János Áder, President of Hungary. Mr. Boris received the honor for his longstanding service in promoting through his outstanding work Hungarian gastronomy abroad.
