The Hungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade met the Secretary General of the Council of europe for bilateral talks during the visit of Mr. Szijjártó to Strasbourg on 18 June 2018. During the meeting Mr. Szijjártó informed the Secretary General about the situation of the Hungarian national minority in Ukraine, reiterating the support for actions of the Council of Europe and the the importance of multilateralism in the protection of the rights of national minorities. Secretary General Jagland and the Hungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade also discussed current challenges that the Council of Europe is facing.
